Dua before entering the bathroom & Dua for leaving the toilet

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, Today’s topic of discussion is Dua before entering the bathroom & Dua for leaving the toilet.

Narrated by Anas (RA): He said, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) used to go to the toilet and say: “اَللهُمَّ إِنّيْ أَعًوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَ الْخَبَائِثِ” “Alla-humma inni auzubiqa minal khubsi wal khaba-yis” means “O Allah! I seek refuge in you from (harmful) male and female devils”. In another hadith narrated by Ali (RA): He said, The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: When one of you enters the closet, the curtain between the eyes of the Jinn Satan and the private part of Bani Adam is “بِسْمِ اللهِ” “Bismillah” meaning “In the name of Allah”. Therefore, we should say the two Duas together, which are given below.

On the authority of Aisha (RA): She said, When the Prophet (PBUH) would come out of the toilet, he would say: “ﻏُﻔْﺮَﺍﻧَﻚَ” “Ghufra-Naka” (meaning – O Allah! I seek your forgiveness).
