10 Qualities of Momin in Quran. Characteristics of a Mu'min

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, Today’s topic of discussion is 10 qualities of momin in the Quran, characteristics of a mu’min.

Allah Almighty says in verse 111 of Surah Tawba of the Holy Quran:

Verily, Allah has purchased the believers’ lives and property from the ( exchange) that, for Paradise. They fight for the cause of Allah, then they kill and die. They have rightful promises in the Torah, the Injil, and the Qur’an. And who is better than God in keeping his promise? So rejoice in the bargain you have made. And that is a great achievement.

In the next verse, Allah Ta’ala says,

They repent, worship, Allah’s admirers, fast, bower, Prostrate, Order good deeds, Prohibiter of evil deeds, and Guardian the limits set by Allah. And give glad tidings to the believers.

Allah (SWT) says in the first verse that He has bought from the believers their lives and property in exchange for Paradise. Then he mentioned the main characteristic of the believers: they fight in Allah’s way, and then they kill and die. In return, Allah Ta’ala will give them Paradise.

These ten characteristics have been described by Allah Ta’ala in two consecutive verses in one place in the Qur’an. In addition to these, many other features are mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith. May Allah grant us the Tawfeeq to understand things correctly and to acquire all the qualities that a believer needs to have, including those qualities. Allahumma Amin.
