Dua for Children protection and health in Arabic and English

Bismillahir Rahmani Rahim, today’s topic of discussion is Dua for Children Protection and Health in Arabic and English.

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA): Rasulullah (SAW) said: Three supplications must be accepted, there is no doubt about it. (1) Dua of the oppressed, (2) Dua of the traveler, and (3) Dua of the parents for the child (Darimi, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah).

Praying for good children

Everyone expects an ideal, honest, devoted, or good child. So parents should pray to Allah for a good child. Such a supplication is mentioned in Surah Saffat of the Holy Quran. The prayer is:-

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Pronunciation: Rabbi Habli minas Saliheen.

Meaning: O my Lord! Give me good children.

Surah Saffat: 100

Dua for children’s protection

أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ

Pronunciation: U’izukuma bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min kulli shaytanin wa hammah, wa min kulli ‘ainin lammah.

Meaning: “I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and every envious blameworthy eye.”

Dua Yunus in Arabic & English with meaning & benefits

Parents should pray for the child and for the safety of the country where the child lives. And pray for the child to be saved from idolatry. Such a prayer is mentioned in the Holy Quran. Ibrahim (AS) prayed for his children. The prayer is:-

 رَبِّ اجۡعَلۡ هٰذَا الۡبَلَدَ اٰمِنًا وَّ اجۡنُبۡنِیۡ وَ بَنِیَّ اَنۡ نَّعۡبُدَ الۡاَصۡنَامَ

Pronunciation: Rabbij al hajal balada a-minaw wajnubani wa baniya an na-budal asna-m.

Meaning: O my Lord! Make this city safe and peaceful and keep me and my children away from idolatry.

Surah Ibrahim: 35

Dua for the welfare of the children

The following supplication should be made to Allah Ta’ala so that the child is protected from the persuasion of Satan, the evil eye of people, and all kinds of evil. The prayer that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to make for Hasan-Husain. In the Hadith narrated by Abdullah Ibn Abbas (R.A.), the supplication comes as follows:-

أعُوذُ بِكَلِماَتِ اللهِ التاَّمَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطاَنٍ وَهاَمَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ

Pronouncement: Auzu bikalimatillahit tammati min kulli shaytaninwo wa hammah; Wa min kulli ainin lammah.

Meaning: I seek deliverance for both of you from every devil and poisonous creature and from every kind of evil through the perfect words of Allah.

Dua for the children’s piety

We should pray for the child to be devout and not indifferent to the responsibilities of religion. In this context, it is described in the Holy Qur’an that Abraham prayed for his children in this regard. The prayer is:-

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلاَةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاء

Pronunciation: Rabbi Alani Muqimas Sala-ti Wamin Zurriyati, Rabbana wa Takabbal Dua.

Meaning: O my Lord! Make me prayerful and from among my progeny. O, my Lord! Accept my prayer.

Surah Ibrahim: 40

Dua for to be an example of Muttaqis

Allah Ta’ala has taught us to pray for wives and children whose eyes cool down, and that they may be examples for the pious. The prayer is:-

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Pronunciation: rabbana- hablana- min azwazhina- wa zurriyya-tina- kurrata a’union wajh’alna- lilmuttakqina ima-ma.

Meaning: O our Lord! Give us coolness of eyes on behalf of our wives and behalf of our children and make us an example for the Muttaqis.

Surah Furqan: 74

Dua for the good sustenance of the children

It is our duty to pray to Allah for the good sustenance of the child. As Ibrahim (AS) prayed for his children. The prayer is:-

رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُم مِّنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ

Pronouncement: Rabbana liyukbimus salata fazhal afiadatam minan nasi tahway ilaihim waryukhum minach chamarati laallahum yashkurun.

Meaning: O my Lord! They establish prayer so that they (children and children) So you make people’s hearts fond of them. And provide for their sustenance with fruits; So that they can give thanks (to Allah).

Dua for children’s health

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ مُذْهِبَ الْبَاسِ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لاَ شَافِيَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Allahuma Rabban-nas, muzhibil-ba’s, isyfi anta asy-syafi, la syifa’a illa anta syifa’an laa yughadiru saqma.

“O Allah, Lord of the people, take away the disease. Cure him as You are the One Who cures. There is no cure but Yours, a cure that leaves behind no ailment.”

(Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Dua for children success

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إلاَّ مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلاً، وأنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الحَزْنَ إذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً

Allahumma laa sahla illa ma ja’altahu sahlan, wa anta taj-alul hazna iza syi’ta sahla.

“Oh Allah! Nothing is easy except what you have made easy. If you wish, you can make the difficult easy.”

(Sahih Ibn Hibban)
