Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, It is Sunnah to recite Dua between two Sujood or sajdah. Rasul (PBUH) used to recite some Dua between two Sujood. I want to discuss them today.

Dua between two sujood in Arabic

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي وَارْزُقْنِي وَارْفَعْنِي

Dua between two sujood in English transliteration

Rabbigfirli Warhamni Wajburni Warjukni Warfa’ni.

Dua between two sujood in English translation

O Lord! Forgive me, have mercy on me, remove my danger, grant me sustenance and increase my dignity.

Hadith of Dua between two sujood

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنَا كَامِلٌ أَبُو الْعَلاَءِ، حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ ‏ “‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَعَافِنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي ‏”‏ ‏.

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA):

He said The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite this dua between two prostrations: Allahummagfirli, Warhamni, Wa-afini, Wahdini, Warjukni.

Abu Dawud Hadith No. 850

حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، عَنْ كَامِلٍ أَبِي الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ ‏ “‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي ‏”‏

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA):

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say between two prostrations, ‘Allahummagfirli Warhamni Wajburni Wahdini Warjukni.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ صَبِيحٍ، عَنْ كَامِلٍ أَبِي الْعَلاَءِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حَبِيبَ بْنَ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ فِي صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ ‏ “‏ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي وَارْزُقْنِي وَارْفَعْنِي ‏”‏ ‏.‏

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA):

He said that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to say in the night prayer between the two prostrations: “Rabbigfirli Warhamni Wajburni Warjukni Warfa’ni (O Lord! Forgive me, have mercy on me, remove my distress, grant me sustenance and increase my status).

Narrated by Huzaifa (RA):

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to sit between two prostrations and say “Rabbigfirli Rabbigfirli” (“Lord! Forgive me, Lord! Forgive me”).
