Importance and virtues of the month of Shaban
The month of Shaban is a month full of special virtues. And during this month, the Prophet (SM) observed more and more nafl siam. And the middle night of this month is a night full of special virtues on which Allah Ta’ala forgives many people.
Narrated by Aisha (R)
He said, Allah’s Messenger ( peace be upon him), as well as (so much) that is used to fasting, we used to say that he would not give up fasting. (Never so much again) that he used to spend all his time without fasting; we used to say he (voluntarily) did not fast. I am the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam), who is fasting the month of Ramadan; I’ve never seen anything other than full and willing Ban months; more than in any month (voluntary) fasting never saw.

The value of the hadith is Sahih
Narrated Usama Ibn Zayd:
He said, I asked, O Messenger of Allah! I do not see you fasting as much in the month of Sha’ban as I do in any other month of the year. Then he said Sha’ban is a month between Rajab and Ramadan, in which people are not aware of the importance of the month in which the records are handed over to Allah Almighty. So I would like, in my book, God to lift my fasting (fasting) conditions.

The value of the hadith is Hasan
Narrated by Abu Hurairah
He said, the Messenger of Allah said: Sha Ban months, and fasting, you do not have the rest of the half.

The Prophet (SM) said: Allah manifests Himself on the night of mid- Shabaan; forgives all of His creation except the polytheists and the envious.
Sunan Ibn Majah Hadith No. 1390
The value of the hadith is Hasan
From the mentioned hadiths, we understand four things. And that is:
1. The Prophet (SM) used to fast almost the entire month of Shaban, that is, at the end of the month, except for a few days.
2. In the month of Shaban, the records are handed over to Allah Almighty. So the Prophet, peace be upon him, loved that in his book, God Almighty will lift it to its fast-performing conditions.
3. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) advised us to fast the first 15 days of the month of Sha’ban and not to fast the last days.
4. Allah Ta’ala manifested Himself on the night of mid- Sha’ban and forgave all His creatures except the polytheists and the envious.
